I swear I was born with the love of animals running through my veins. As little as I could remember I wanted to be surrounded by animals. I had cats and dogs growing up, then was lucky at 14 to have a mom that made my dream come true of owning a horse.  
 
I chose an educational path based on what young Carmen thought was the logical choice. I changed my major probably 5 times bouncing between psychology and various business majors. I graduated with UNF with a Bachelor's in Psychology, and no clue what I actually wanted to do. But I knew I loved working with animals, so that's what I did.  
 
During my time in school I worked as a vet tech at Shelton Veterinary Clinic in Elkton, Florida and then found my way to Dogtown USA in St. Augustine. The experience I gained from working there is absolutely priceless. It gave me hands on experience with dogs of all temperaments and sizes. As a high volume doggy daycare and boarding facility, over the almost 10 years I was with the business, I received the honor to care for and love hundreds of dogs, as well as adopted my three heart pups Ronan, Tippy and Rosita.  
 
My love for horses also brought me into the equine world professionally. I had the honor of being Business Manager for Star 4 Equestrian in St. Augustine as it opened its doors as a boarding barn and grow with it into a large scale horse boarding facility.  
 
 
With my years of experience in pet care, as well as my business and management background, I felt that it was time to start chasing my dreams and start my own pet care business. One of the things I love most about working with animals is discovering each one’s unique personality. Building that bond makes every experience special, and I’m excited to provide pet care that feels personal and attentive to your beloved pet.
